Workforce Camp Demobilisation

This project involved the disconnection, pack down and demobilisation of a 40-person workforce accommodation camp in a remote location near Fitzroy Crossing, WA. Rapid Camps were engaged by the local shire to complete these works on time and within budget. The project featured comprehensive planning and logistical coordination in order to keep client costs to a minimum.

The process involved the safe disconnection of essential utilities including the power supply from overhead power lines and generators as well as potable and waste water connections. The team were able to prevent contamination and uphold environmental compliance for the rehabilitation crew by using years of combined industry experience during power and plumbing disconnections. The scope required a methodical and safety-conscious approach to removing all infrastructure while maintaining operational efficiency and minimising disruption.

A key part of the demobilisation involved securing all internal and external fittings and furniture within the camp facilities to prepare them for safe transport. Additionally, boundary garrison fencing was dismantled and removed as part of the site rehabilitation process. Prior to the removal of any structures or equipment, detailed dilapidation reports were completed to document the condition of all assets and site features, helping to mitigate risks and ensure accountability. All camp trailers underwent thorough inspections to confirm roadworthiness and compliance with transportation safety standards.

Upon successful packdown and removal, all assets were transported and securely stored at the contractor’s yard on behalf of the client. This phase of the project demonstrated a strong focus on safety, planning, and logistical coordination. The result was the efficient and incident-free completion of the demobilisation, ensuring all client assets were preserved and ready for potential future deployment or reuse.
