35 Person Mining Workforce Camp

The Coolgardie Mining camp was designed, supplied and installed by Rapid Camps to support our client’s expanding lithium mining operations. Rapid Camps were engaged to install a 35-person turnkey camp that included essential central facilities. With a growing workforce we were committed to providing a fully serviced, self-sufficient and comfortable housing solution in a timely manner. The camp needed to be rapidly deployed and efficiently installed to cater for the increased workforce numbers.

One of the primary challenges was ensuring the camp was deployed proficiently despite being in a remote location and with a tight project timeline. Rapid Camps implemented a modular, plug-and-play design, allowing for quick installation and immediate usability.

The project included the install of 35 ensuite caravan rooms with containerised central facilities consisting of a kitchen, diner, tavern, laundry and storage facilities. The camp featured a reliable power supply that featured a sub main distribution board, two generators with 100% redundancy allowing for future expansion. A secondary scope included the supply and install of a robust soundproof fence surrounding the camp to reduce noise pollution from its ongoing operations. This ensured workforce comfort and safety was enhanced, optimising well-being and efficiency.

Delivered on time and within budget, the Coolgardie camp provided a high-quality, long-term accommodation solution. Its flexible design and inclusion of essential utilities allowed for future expansions, with support infrastructure optimising worker well-being and site efficiency.
