28 Person SPQ Camp Built For Remote Rehabilitation Efforts

To support rehabilitation efforts at the Ellendale site, Rapid Camps was engaged to design, supply, and install a 28-person workforce camp. The project aimed to provide a high-quality, fully integrated living environment for workers in a remote location, ensuring both comfort and functionality while maintaining strict environmental compliance. With a focus on efficiency and workforce well-being, the camp was designed to be self-sufficient and scalable to meet evolving site needs.

Operating in a remote area with limited infrastructure presented challenges in logistics, deployment speed, and seamless integration with the existing site. Rapid Camps leveraged modular construction techniques and an efficient project management approach to deliver a turnkey accommodation solution within the project's tight three-week timeline. The installation process was carefully planned to minimise disruption to ongoing rehabilitation work, ensuring smooth site operations.

The camp featured SPQ (Single Person Quarters) accommodation, providing private, comfortable living spaces for workers, along with essential site facilities. A wastewater treatment plant was integrated to maintain environmental compliance and sustainable waste management, while two high-capacity generators and an SMDB (Sub Main Distribution Board) ensured a stable and reliable power supply. A communications system was also installed to facilitate seamless connectivity, supporting both operational efficiency and workforce communication.

The Ellendale Camp successfully provided a safe, well-equipped accommodation solution that enhanced workforce productivity and well-being. The scalable and modular design allows for future expansion, making it a long-term, adaptable solution for rehabilitation operations.
